During the 2003-2004 campaign, Madrid-based outfit Atletico had an extraordinary 16 different shirt sponsors throughout the year, courtesy of a creative alliance with Columbia Pictures. Through this unique agreement, the club rotated their primary chest sponsor in conjunction with each new film release, promoting movies across their kit. It remains among the most unconventional shirt sponsorship arrangements ever witnessed in professional football. The most recognizable of these 16 movie sponsors was undoubtedly Spiderman 2, a blockbuster that became a memorable football shirt emblem. The remaining sponsors included Peter Pan, Zoro, Bad Boys II, Closer, Resident Evil 2, S.W.A.T, Hollywood Homicide, Hellboy, Hitch, xXx 2, The Rundown, Gothika, Big Fish, The Punisher, White Chicks and Anaconda.
