During the 2003-2004 campaign, Atletico Madrid of Spain remarkably featured 16 distinct shirt sponsors throughout the year, made possible by an unprecedented agreement with Columbia Pictures. Through this unique arrangement, the club updated their primary chest sponsor each time the studio released a film, enabling global promotion of the movies. Even now, it stands as among the most unusual sponsorship arrangements ever seen in professional football. The Spiderman 2 iteration remains the most recognizable of all 16 cinema-based sponsors, becoming a legendary kit design. The remaining film sponsors included Peter Pan, Zoro, Bad Boys II, Closer, Resident Evil 2, S.W.A.T, Hollywood Homicide, Hellboy, Hitch, xXx 2, The Rundown, Gothika, Big Fish, The Punisher, White Chicks and Anaconda.
