Umbro's Werder Bremen 21-22 special shirt features a black/anthracite foundation covered with extensive green designs throughout. All of these designs draw inspiration from tattoos that supporters have had done celebrating their team. The designs incorporate elements such as the club's founding year, Werder emblems, Bremen as a city, and various mottos among other details. Umbro appropriately named this kit "How Deep is Your Love". The shirt builds upon the Werder 21-22 third kit design, retaining the Green Legend sponsor branding as its base.
