Puma designed this third kit for Cameroon in 2010 as a partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), aimed at promoting global biodiversity and supporting conservation efforts across Africa. The design was particularly significant given that the world's attention was focused on Africa during the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa. This collaborative design was actually adopted by all African nations wearing Puma kits for the tournament, comprising Ghana, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Mozambique, Togo, Tunisia, Senegal, Morocco and Namibia.
