Sporting Gijón 2025-26 Fourth Kit
Sporting Gijón is unable to utilize either of their primary kits owing to colour conflicts with Mirandés — Sporting's first jersey features red and white, while their second is black. Consequently, the Asturian side intended to introduce their new tertiary kit: a red-collared white shirt displaying the club's most ancient known emblem. This plan, however, encounters obstacles. The problem stems from the emblem itself, which lacks official registration status. Sporting is currently engaging with the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) to obtain its approval, yet the registration process will not be finalized before Friday's encounter with Mirandés. Consequently, Sporting cannot don the highly-anticipated Puma tertiary jersey that has generated considerable supporter enthusiasm. Lacking a viable alternative among their seasonal kits, Sporting must resort to alternative measures. The squad will sport an entirely fresh fluorescent yellow jersey, constructed similarly to their practice gear yet furnished with official match patches, commercial logos, and numerical identifiers. The club manufactures a modest selection of approximately 80 jerseys — sufficient solely for matchday purposes — and this distinctive outfit will remain unavailable commercially. The ensemble is rounded out with white trousers, presenting a singular appearance for the Mirandés fixture, and will be employed solely on this singular occasion.
