The shirt will be worn in the Sky Bet Championship fixture against Middlesbrough at Deepdale on Wednesday 14th February– the tenth anniversary of Sir Tom’s passing. Incorporating a ‘splash’ design, the shirt is inspired by a famous photo taken at Stamford Bridge in 1956, which a statue at Deepdale is based on. Underneath the neck collar on the back of the shirt reads ‘Sir Tom Finney’ and also features the great man’s stats for his only club: 472 appearances and 210 goals.
