10.09.1975, Chorzów, POLAND – NETHERLANDS 4:1 (2:0) 1976 European Championship Qualifiers The aforementioned match is considered the best match of the Polish national team in history — a meeting between the Vice-World Champions and the Bronze Medalists. The Polish national team wore the jersey for only one specific match. A huge scandal erupted because the equipment supplier prepared jerseys with a red emblem (coat of arms), which was absolutely unacceptable in Poland during Soviet times, but there was no time for any changes.
