To mark the club's half-century milestone, the kit incorporates the blue and white colour scheme associated with Andrea Doria. The reverse of the shirt displays a design inspired by Sampierdarenese. Both Andrea Doria and Sampierdarenese served as the founding entities that established Sampdoria Calcio.
