SS Lazio 1979-80 Special Kit

The murder of Vincenzo Paparelli, which took place before the derby on 28 October 1979 inside the Stadio Olimpico, is one of the blackest pages in the history of Italian football. On 18 November of the same year, Lazio and Roma decided to play a friendly match with mixed teams and to donate the proceeds to the family of the missing Biancazzuri fan. In an uncrowded Stadio Olimpico, the 'Roman' players with an oil-green jersey played on one side and the 'Rest of Italy' players with a white uniform in reversed colours on the other. The match ended with the result 2-1 in favour of the 'Rest of Italy'.
