A long-sleeved Scotland v. England shirt in blue belonging to Alex James, dating from 1928, was made by L.R. Charlton Sports Outfitter. The garment features a button-up collar and an embroidered cloth badge bearing the inscription SvE 1927-28. The badge was not present during the actual match but was sewn on afterwards. Staining and discolouration are visible on the collar. The match took place on 31st March 1928 at Empire Stadium, with Scotland defeating England 5-1. James contributed two goals to Scotland's victory.
