The Barça shirt will undergo its seventh Spotify logo modification by featuring Ed Sheeran. The British performer becomes the inaugural male solo pop artist to appear on an FC Barcelona kit, with his latest record Play displayed prominently on the chest. The insignia will debut on 19 October during the women's fixture versus Granada CF, before reappearing on 26 October for the men's Clásico meeting with Real Madrid. Ed Sheeran commands over 92 million monthly Spotify listeners and has achieved 14 entries into the Billions Club — representing songs that have accumulated more than that many plays on the service. Play marks his eighth studio work, an endeavour stemming from the happiness of existence and shaped by musical influences and narratives Sheeran has collected across the globe. This approach of investigating varied societies and uniting fan bases corresponds well with FC Barcelona's worldwide character and cross-border expansion throughout its history. Placing Play across the jersey's front underscores music's capability to transcend geographical limits and unite audiences. Barça is recognised for its youthful character and inventive football, cultivated through talents developed at La Masia. Ed Sheeran's enthusiasm for both football and Barcelona as a city strengthens this partnership, rooted in the conviction that music, creativity and sport inspire individuals, whether in stadiums or beyond. The British vocalist joins the roster of Travis Scott, Coldplay, Karol G, The Rolling Stones, Rosalía and Drake, all previous occupants of the FC Barcelona shirt's front panel.
