Entering the 1980s now, we look at the design conceived by Jimmy Hill. His vision was that incorporating the sponsor as an integral element of the shirt's design would enable its broadcast on television; however, the BBC had other ideas and prohibited its display during televised matches. This was a shirt that was simply ahead of schedule. The Talbot sports home and away versions ran from 1981-83.
