In the latter part of the 1990s, Chile frequently alternated between various versions of the Reebok kit throughout the 1998 WC Qualifiers, the Copa Americas tournaments, and the World Cup competition. These uniforms featured multiple iterations of the Chilean National Team crest. The kit is particularly linked with Chilean strikers Iván Zamorano and Marcelo Salas, who were the leading scorers in the qualifying campaign.
