During the 92-93 and 93-94 seasons, Blackburn's shirt featured McEwan's Lager sponsorship in both campaigns, with a single exception. On 5th September '92, when Blackburn played host to Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park, the team donned a shirt bearing a Coors Extra Gold logo instead. The reason for this variation was that Scottish & Newcastle, the company behind McEwan's Lager, had just acquired UK licensing rights to Coors and sought to publicise the brand's launch. In that particular Coors-branded shirt, Rovers secured a 4-1 victory.
