The Mainz 05 120th anniversary kit features an off-white primary hue with a red sash that has been sewn onto the chest area. Ribbed fabric forms the sleeve edges and collar cuffs, while the garment incorporates a button-fastened collar with a hidden button strip. Rather than displaying the standard Mainz 05 emblem, the Mainz wheel is stitched across the chest in reference to the club's early period when the current logo had not yet been established. The city's heraldic shield adorns the jersey accordingly. Roman numerals marking the period from the club's establishment until today are printed along the neckline. The sponsorship badges for main partner Kömmerling and kit manufacturer JAKO appear in the traditional jersey tones, while sleeve partner IDM's emblem is stitched onto the sleeve. Cotton-textured flock is used for the player identification and numerical designation on the back. A special commemorative patch that is sewn on and woven displays details of the match day and opposing team for the club's 120th anniversary celebration.
