Adidas has released Mexico's third shirt for the 2026-27 international cycle, released on 12 May 2026. The design centres on a black base with national identity woven through every detail.

The design

The shirt is black throughout, with a tonal all-over "MX" pattern pressed into the fabric that gives it depth without breaking the dark base. The collar is a V-style with overlapping green and black trim, and green detailing continues through the sleeve cuffs and shoulder piping. The most prominent colour moment comes from the Adidas Three Stripes, which run in Mexican flag colours, green, white, and red, down the sleeves. The Tricolour Trefoil logo sits on the right chest and the Mexico national team crest on the left. At the neckline, "Somos México" is written in green, white, and red, a phrase that translates as "We are Mexico." Black shorts and socks with matching green, white, and red accents complete the kit.

Two versions are available. The Authentic uses jacquard fabric with Climacool+ technology and a heat-applied badge in a slim fit. The replica uses interlock fabric with standard Climacool.

The story

The kit was created in connection with Someone Somewhere, a Mexican social enterprise. The Adidas collaboration brings that partnership into the product itself. The black shirt gives Mexico a strong visual contrast to both the home green and the away white, and the flag-colour Three Stripes make the national identity explicit without relying on the crest alone. The 2026 World Cup is hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with El Tri playing home fixtures on their own soil.
