Adidas has unveiled Manchester United's home shirt for the 2026-27 season, returning to a collar style that echoes some of the club's most recognisable kits from the past.
The design
The shirt uses a classic red base. The collar is a polo style with white and black piping, a design choice that immediately references United's kits from the late 1980s and 1990s. The lower torso introduces a subtle darker red gradient alongside a mesh texture, adding visual variation without disrupting the clean upper half. White Adidas Three Stripes run across the shoulders and down the sleeves, with the detailing extending to the cuffs on the long-sleeve version. The Manchester United crest appears in full colour on the left chest. The Snapdragon shirt sponsor is printed in white across the centre of the shirt.
The kit is available in both short-sleeve and long-sleeve variations. White shorts with red and black trim and the United crest on the right leg complete the set, along with black socks featuring a thick red band and white Adidas detailing.
The story
United's return to Adidas has produced a consistent series of kits since the partnership began in 2015, but the polo collar has been used sparingly. The 2026-27 design leans into it as the primary heritage reference point, connecting the shirt to an era of the club's history that carries strong collector appeal. Snapdragon continues as shirt sponsor following the deal that replaced the long-running Chevrolet arrangement. The 2026-27 season will be United's second full campaign with Ruben Amorim as manager.
