Leeds United and adidas have revealed the club's third kit for 2026/27, released on 24 August 2026 to commemorate 400 years since the city of Leeds received its Royal Charter in 1626.
The design
The shirt is built on a carbon grey base carrying a layered all-over graphic inspired by the city's industrial architecture and structures. Different shades of grey form the pattern across the front, shoulders and sleeves, while the rear body is kept mostly plain.
Silver detailing runs throughout. The adidas Three Stripes extend across the shoulders, with the Performance logo on the right chest and a monochrome Leeds United crest opposite. The Red Bull shirt sponsor provides the shirt's main colour contrast, sitting centrally in its familiar red and yellow treatment. A dark grey crew neck is edged in silver, with a small LEEDS sign-off stitched inside the rear collar.
adidas has fitted the shirt with CLIMACOOL technology for moisture management. The kit is completed with matching carbon grey shorts carrying silver Three Stripes down the sides, and dark grey socks with silver bands, LUFC lettering and adidas Performance branding.
The background
Leeds have used their 2026/27 kit collection to lean into the city's heritage rather than the club's own history, and the third kit continues that theme with a direct nod to the 400th anniversary of Leeds' Royal Charter. It follows the home and away releases earlier in the summer.
