Inter Milan and Nike have unveiled the home shirt for the 2026/27 season. The design keeps the black and blue vertical stripes that define the club's identity but reshapes their edges, drawing on Milano's history as a centre of tailoring and fashion.

The design

The shirt carries Inter's iconic black and blue vertical stripes, but the edges of the stripes are jagged, described as inspired by the cut of a tailor's scissors. The collar is a black fold-over with a buttoned placket. The fabric is textured with engineered ribbing throughout the body.

The Nike Swoosh, Inter crest, sponsor branding, and two stars are all finished in University Gold, a reference to the palette used on the 1998 kit. Inside the collar reads "Made of Milano." A Scudetto shield and a circular "10" commemorative detail appear on the front. The shirt uses black side inserts and raglan-style sleeves. Authentic versions use Nike Aero-FIT technology with fabric engineered at yarn and stitch level, forming a textured knit with strategically placed mesh zones for airflow. Replica versions use Nike Dri-FIT. Black shorts with gold numbering and coordinating black socks complete the kit.

The story

The "Made of Milano" label and the tailor's scissors concept place this shirt firmly in the city's cultural identity rather than purely in football. Inter have always had a close relationship with Milanese design culture, and Nike lean into that here more explicitly than most kit releases attempt.

The gold palette reference to 1998 is well chosen. That season Inter reached the UEFA Cup final, and the kit from that year has strong collector interest. Bringing the University Gold back across the badge, swoosh and stars is a subtle but pointed connection for supporters who know the club's history.
