Nike has released Finland's home shirt for the 2026 international cycle, with the design drawing directly from the national flag.
The design
The shirt is built on a white base, with the flag reference arriving through a block-style cross graphic that wraps over the shoulder area and down the upper arm in blue. The front of the shirt stays clean and largely plain white, with a subtle vertical fabric texture running through the body. The Finland crest, the blue cross shield with "Suomi" lettering, sits on the left chest, with a blue Nike Swoosh on the right. The back is predominantly white, with a small Nike performance label near the lower hem.
The full kit pairs the white shirt with blue shorts and white socks.
Two versions are available. The Authentic uses Nike Dri-FIT ADV with targeted ventilation through engineered knit zones. The replica uses standard Nike Dri-FIT moisture management.
The story
Finland have been a Nike nation for a sustained stretch, and the 2026 design is one of the more literal interpretations of the flag the manufacturer has produced for the Huuhkajat. Rather than abstracting the cross into a subtle pattern, Nike has made it a structural element of the shirt through the shoulder and sleeve treatment. The home shirt was released on 13 May 2026 alongside the away kit, both aimed at the 2026-27 international cycle.
