Celtic have unveiled their 2026/27 home shirt, made by Adidas. The kit doubles as a commemorative release, marking the 60th anniversary of the Lisbon Lions' European Cup victory in 1967, the night Celtic became the first British club to win the trophy.
The design
The shirt keeps Celtic's traditional green and white hoops as its base, with metallic gold detailing applied across the club crest, the Adidas logo and the Dafabet shirt sponsor. The collar is a white crew neck, with Adidas three-stripe detailing running across the shoulders in green.
Above the crest sits "60 Aniversario" wording alongside a gold star, a direct reference to the 1966/67 European Cup season. Inside the collar, a commemorative "Lisbon Lions 1966/67" label reinforces the connection. Subtle textured patterning runs across the body of the shirt.
The authentic player version uses jacquard fabric with CLIMACOOL+ technology and features a lenticular heat-applied crest. The replica uses interlock fabric with standard CLIMACOOL technology and carries an embroidered gold crest. The complete kit pairs the shirt with white shorts featuring green Adidas side stripes and gold crest detailing, and white socks.
The story
On 25 May 1967, Celtic defeated Inter Milan 2-1 in Lisbon's Estadio Nacional to become European champions. The squad, famously known as the Lisbon Lions, were all born within 30 miles of Celtic Park, a detail that has become central to the club's identity. The victory remains one of the defining moments in Scottish football history.
The 2026/27 shirt is released in the 60th anniversary year of that win. The gold accents, the commemorative crest text and the inside-collar badge are all built around that milestone, making this one of the more considered anniversary kits Celtic have produced.
