Bayern München 2026/27 home kit by adidas

adidas has released Bayern München's home kit for the 2026/27 season. The shirt debuted in the Champions League semi-final second leg on 6 May 2026 and leans on two things Bayern's kits do consistently well: red and tradition.

The design

The base is deep red throughout. Running across the front and back is a red-on-red tonal stripe pattern, alternating between lighter and darker sections through the fabric construction. The effect is visible up close but reads as a clean red shirt at a distance, which is exactly what it should be.

The collar is white with gold inner detailing, and the sleeve cuffs carry the same combination: white trim with a thin gold edge. adidas's 3-Stripes run across the shoulders in white. The club motto "Mia San Mia" is printed in gold beneath the back collar.

The FC Bayern München crest sits on the left chest with five gold stars above it. Between the crest and the white adidas logo on the right chest sits a gold cockatoo badge, marking the 2025/26 Bundesliga title. Telekom appears as the main front sponsor in the centre.

The back reads "FC Bayern" rather than "FC Bayern München", a small change from previous seasons.

Construction

Two versions are available. The authentic cut uses jacquard fabric with a heat-applied federation badge and Climacool+ technology. The replica uses smooth interlock fabric with standard Climacool for moisture management. Red shorts with white side detailing and white socks with red fold-over uppers complete the kit.

The story

Gold details last appeared on a Bayern home shirt in 2011/13. The return here is restrained: collar edging, cuff trim, "Mia San Mia" on the neck, and the title badge. The logos and sponsor remain white. It is enough to give the shirt a premium quality without overplaying the anniversary angle. The tonal stripe is a similarly considered choice, connecting the design back to Bayern's striped heritage without reproducing a specific historical template directly.
